Looking for Some Sophistication in Your Interior Design?

The interior feel and design of the home actually depends largely on the outdoor design and décor you choose to display. Life is like a movie, a series of moments. Going from a mediocre, neglected yard – which is the first impression your guests see, and derive ‘feeling’ from – to a nice interior design kind of undercuts the interior design, as a second impression. No matter how hard you try.

You are going from worse to better (in this hypothetical) but it would be better to keep things level, and leave a solid, unified impression of style, and sophistication in your design gravitas.

One way to bridge your outdoor and interior styles (if the designs happen to differ significantly) focusing on your doors, is by getting your hands on some fancy bi doors in the United Kingdom, that are a real wowser’ and eye-popper. This kind of door will draw the attention of your guest forward, into your interior, with a sense of “this home is different and out of the ordinary…  I must see more”.

Certain elements of Interior Design really set themselves apart from others.

One is the display of functional items that do not have a function in your home other than for decoration. This always the guest to view the item or thing as something a little more abstract, or in a different perspective at least.

A good example of this kind of décor is that of a friend of mine, who had a room dedicated to dishware and silvery. All items that are “functionally” used for eating, perhaps at a special occasion for the silver. But once these items become a non-functional display, you realize their beauty- their wonder in our lives. As simple as these items may be in our day to day, they are incredibly significant and wonderful to us as a species and society.

Another common element is wall decoration.

You never go into a well-styled room without some sort of wall décor, or something to complement it (like a garden set up perhaps).

This could be paintings or wall art drawn on the walls and ceilings themselves, but it should definitely be considered if you are trying to impress.

Once you get into the design of the side-walls, you will soon see the potential for the floors and ceilings, and all sorts of crazy possibilities.
